Crossed the Acropolis off my bucket list!
This was our last stop before heading back to Malta. I was a bit nervous heading back to Athens but I knew that we had plans to stay in a nice hotel to have the best view of the Acropolis. Never have I ever thought in my lifetime would I come this close to such a rich historic monument in the world. To think that I’m staring at the temple that was built for the goddess Athena. The Acropolis of Athens is one of the most creative – artistically, scientifically and philosophically eras in human history! One of my favorite childhood movies is Hercules, of course like many!
We stayed at Central Athen Hotel for the night. It was a marvelous hotel. The rooms were tiny but comfortable and with a clear view of the Acropolis. It provided a breakfast buffet, a jacuzzi with a view as well, and an exclusive cocktail and dinner restaurant for hotel guests. It was perfect for us because we had an early flight in the morning so we weren’t able to physically walk into the Acropolis.

Dinner with a view
Everything was so perfect. Eric and I took this time to calm down from all the partying we were doing in Paros to enjoy each other’s company and this dinner. We wined and dined with your typical Greek meal.. and a margarita to start us off. hehe. I loved every minute of it.
If you are looking to visit Athens I’d suggest staying in the most tourist central because you’ll get the most for your buck. We learned our lesson the first night when we got a cheap hotel by the port. It was not safe nor pleasant. Also, if you do see the Acropolis, either go in the morning or evening and do what we did and dine with a view because this was worth every penny.
Back to Malta.
I am happy to say, I’m glad we’re going back home. Although our trip was short, we have work to do and an amazing house to get back to! I actually said “I miss home” meaning Malta and not Hawaii. That must be a good sign…

Hunter Kelsi
