MALTA

ONE MONTH DOWN.

Damnnnn… time has gone by so fast! I can’t believe we’ve been here for a whole month. I have been absolutely loving Malta so far. I can’t wait to do more activities, see more sites, and experience more of what Malta has to offer. So far, we’ve just been setting up our beautiful house and figuring out the ways of the locals. I think we finally got some local rules down… Trash day is every day, people will honk like a maniac at 7 in the morning but it’s normal. While crossing the street don’t wait for cars to stop for you; you stop the car, and tipping is not a thing here. The nice part about where we live is that it’s the heart of the tourist area. We can just walk a minute to eat at a nice restaurant or to swim in the bay. Another thing  I love about Malta is that they deliver everything. Don’t want to go to the grocery store? No worries! They’ll deliver your groceries right to your door under 24 hours. This helps when you don’t have a car, and the weather is 90 degrees of stay the fxk indoors.

Anyways, tomorrow we leave for Athens, Greece! Then, we take a ferry to Paros. I’m looking forward to watching the final football game, France vs. Croatia at some pub with crazy fans. I’m also looking forward to seeing the Acropolis in Athens and taking some epic pictures at our villa! Summer has been amazing so far!

Currently loving life!

Għajn Tuffieħa -Mellieha

WE WENT TO THE BEACH TODAY! I BEEN WAITING FOR SOO LONG TO GET OUT AND ADVENTURE THIS ISLAND. IT SEEMS LIKE YOU HAVE TO HEAD TO GOZO TO SEE THE TURQUOISE BLUE OCEAN, BUT THAT’S NOT TRUE! THERE ARE BEAUTIFUL BAYS JUST TOWARDS THE NORTHWEST PART OF MALTA. THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE… I KNOW THAT THE BEST TIMES TO EXPERIENCE THE BEACH, SADLY IS IN THE MORNING OR LATER IN THE DAY FOR SUNSET. ONE, THE LIGHTING IS WAY LESS HARSH AT THESE TIMES AND TWO, THERE ISN’T SUCH A CROWD. NOTHING BOTHERS ME MORE THAN SETTING UP MY BEACH LAYOUTS A FOOT AWAY FROM SOMEONE ELSE.

A FEW THINGS THAT I LOVED ABOUT THESE BEACHES…

THEY WERE HUGE

YOU COULD SWIM SO FAR. SNORKEL AROUND THE REEFS. YES, THERE A LOT OF PEOPLE ONSHORE BUT ONCE YOU GET INTO THE OCEAN, IT’S NOT A BIG DEAL.

 GORGEOUS SHADES OF BLUE

IF YOU’RE JUST LIKE ME, NOTHING MAKES YOU HAPPIER THAN SEEING A GRADIENT OF BLUE IN THE OCEAN. I GET THE URGE TO JUST JUMP IN, ANYWHERE! LIKE SERIOUSLY, I COULD JUMP OFF THIS CLIFF CAUSE IT’S SO DANG BEAUTIFUL.
